Green Businesses Let Down By Government

Green businesses didn't get the incentives they expectedFrom FT.com: It is a pity that renewable electricity was not used to galvanise world leaders into agreeing greater progress on cutting emissions in Copenhagen.

One small wind turbine can generate 500kW per hour. Threatening to channel that charge through politicians' trouser seats would have concentrated their minds.

Much of this type of stuff usually comes down to politics. It is is shame because green business is good business and our planet can really use it right now.

It was at that point that scientists and environmental groups pointed out that far from helping to reduce carbon emissions many biofuels were directly or indirectly responsible for increasing emissions by driving demand for agricultural land and as a result accelerating deforestation.
